There Will Be a Next Time

Hello folks, Winslow here!
It has been one week since touchdown at Boston Logan airport: one night in East Bridgewater, two with the boyfriend in Northampton, and the rest here on Cape Cod.
The necessary mental adjustments have been smooth, just a little dream-like. We are trying to find our places here for the summer; for me it was easy - on top of the cabinet by the front door. For the young one it isn't so straight-forward, as there are many things for her to decide on and settle into. The first of these is finding a serving job. I really hope some day she can make a living using the smarts I know she has, which have culminated into an already-year-old college degree. I wouldn't want all those French skills to melt away either; I saw how hard she worked in France! Anyway, she is close to scoring a position at a typical Cape-Cod style restaurant.
Another important facet of life for the young one is that of a gym of some sort. To keep a healthy mind she must insert that into her routine. This time around, though, she wants to focus on group classes such as aerobics and yoga. Yoga sounds right up my alley, maybe I'll give it a shot too.
Who knows how much time the young one will have surrounding her hopefully busy work schedule and visits with the boyfriend, but another goal is to pick up her saxophone again. I have actually never heard her play!
There is also cooking. She wants to start getting creative in the kitchen.
What are my goals, you ask? Well the first is to see the young one leading a productive and happy summer. A second is to start planning my return trip to Florida to see the tall one and the short one. The third is to just soak up some sun, right on the back porch here.
Last but not least, I would love to continue to meet new people, hopefully coming in the form of new friends of the young one, or maybe some spontaneous trip! Keeping in touch with people I have already met is just as important, and it would make me so very happy if I received some post cards of my own from my travelling readers. That would make me feel like I'm still adventuring, but without putting in so much effort (the young one really tired me out these past 8 months)!
If you would like to keep in touch with me, feel free to send a letter or post card to this address:

Until next time, because there will indeed be a next time,
Winslow and the young one
